Austin makes national news yet again for its resilliance. Along with McAllen, El Paso, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, and San Antonio. With 6 of America’s 25 Strongest Housing Markets in Texas, the Lone Star State is yet again strong enough to stand on its own. While other cities see falling housing prices, Austin and other steady Texas economies remain at least steady in housing prices.
With so much to offer, these cities still attract businesses and growth, yet remain economically stable by avoiding major booms. These larger Texas cities are also more stable because they no longer depend on one or two major employers. While 8 years ago we may have been depending heavily on Dell, Austin is a strong city despite Dell layoffs in 2008.
Way to go, Austin, on yet another national acclaim!
